He told me that he is having the same issues I have been having but that he had not yet called Comcast – xfinity but he planned on making the call. Then he told me that the issue sounded to him like we might be having a Comcast – xfinity DNS (Domain Naming Service) problem and to change the DNS settings to Google DNS servers:

If you choose, Dynamic IP address provided by your ISP, then you can't change the DNS settings. I can workaround this on the laptops, pcs and phones by setting DNS manually but can't do that for Smart TV or Blu-Ray player.
